DISTANCE MARKERS
Distance markers on tees are to the middle of each green. Distance markers on fairways are to the front of each green.
PENALTY AREAS
Red stakes define all penalty areas. When dropping a player may drop within two (2) club lengths of point of entry not closer to the hole. A one (1) stroke penalty will apply. If the terrain allows, the drop may be taken further back providing the point of entry remains between the drop position and the pin.
BUNKERS
Bunkers are bordered with a plastic lining. Where a ball lands in such a way that this lining is “in play”, the ball may be “placed” within 30cm radius in the bunker not closer to the hole.
ROAD, PATHS AND IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS
A ball may be dropped off all roads and paths, not nearer the hole, without penalty. Structures related to the watering system, and other man-made structures outside of hazards, may be treated as immovable obstructions.
ANTHILLS
An anthill marked with one red stake at its base is treated as a penalty area. A player may drop within two (2) club lengths of the read stake not closer to the hole. A one (1) stroke penalty will apply. As in penalty areas such drop may be taken further back providing the anthill remains between the drop position and the pin.
GROUND UNDER REPAIR
Areas marked a GUR (or ringed with white paint) may not be played from. This includes unmarked tractor or machine tyre marks. A drop, without penalty, not closer to the hole, must be taken.
FLOWER BEDS AND LANDSCAPED AREAS
A player must drop away from a flower bed or landscaped area that is not marked as a “penalty’ area. The drop may not be closer to the hole and is without penalty.
PACE OF PLAY
Pace of play policy (Rule 5.6b (3)) penalty strokes will be given for repeated warnings that a group is out of position.
LIGHTNING
It is recommended that play be discontinued immediately if there is lightning in the vicinity. Any decision to continue play in the presence of lightning is at players own risk. Trident will NOT sound a siren to warn players of lightning.
